who visits. Walks can be short and relaxing or long and adventurous in
these Alabama woods. You can stroll to the raised herb beds and to the
bluff overlooking Little River by the trail in front of the main house,or
hike to the base of Desoto Falls at Desoto State Park. |

main house offers a beautiful view of the inspiring woods that can be enjoyed
through the full size windows or in the rocking chairs on the porch. A
separate guest house features beautifully decorated rooms, each with private
entrance and bath, TV with VCR, heat and air. Each room has a theme to
reflect the setting.
The
Gathering Place offers a sitting area for all guests to enjoy. Guests can
play games, sit and chat or check out a movie from the video library. A
guest refrigerator with fruit drinks is available along with a setup for
hot drinks. The Gathering Place is open all the time.

Breakfast
at Mountain Laurel Inn Bed and Breakfast begins with coffee outside each
guest's door. Guests are served a full, family-style breakfast consisting
of fruit, homemade breads and a main dish, which may consist of Breakfast
Pizza, Eggs Rancheros, Decadent French Toast or "Breakfast in Bread". |

more adventure, hike to DeSoto Falls by
the path behind the guest house to the top or by way of taking the steep
route down to the river. Night time strolls are also enjoyable to see the
stars or a rising full moon. Baxter, the resident golden retriever, is
